The 2000 is the same, but the carbs don't have as much low end as FI.
With the CF rims, and CF bodywork, the 2000 is pretty light. I can still pull a lot of newer liter bikes. I don't like to ride this one too hard anymore though, as it is getting harder to repair old bikes. Probably need to grab up another newer bike soon, and let the 929RR go.
We just parted ways with our shop R1 for that very reason. It was a 99 with 44k on the chassis, 01 motor with around 5,500 on it. Fun bike, but little things starting to wear over time on the chassis, and just general stress of being a 40+k bike that was rode like it was. The guy that bought it is extremely pleased with it though. I liked the feel of that bike for sure, I'd love to ride one with more mods. That one was just a full Yoshi, K&N, carbs synced and tuned, -1/+2, 120/190 Conti Sport Attacks, ProTek clip ons, Hotbodies undertail and hugger, Sprint steering dampner setup with custom mount, and everything safety wired.
