Depending on what time you have this set for, I might swing by the Varsity. This is the same day as the Winter S2000 meet, so I will be on my way to Perimeter for that. Also RED TOP (if that is the Lake Alatoona ) spot we used to meet, does not have to be reserved. Just the big covered spot, but the parking lot is 1st come 1st served, and the small grills are there for the taking. But keep in mind, normal people (not in the car world) more than likely will not be wanting to stand around a pit fire, grilling in the cold weather.Yeah thats what it's looking like

And I can not help it I have a full time job that takes more of my time that I used to have. At least I do show up for some if not all meets, and everyone knows I also drive farther than anyone else.
If D doesn't find out before I do, I will call up there tomorrow and post what I find out about reservations.
Jeremy, that's the spot I used to have the accord/prelude meets at. You don't have to reserve it, but it assures that YOU have the covered area for the day, otherwise anyone can use it, and anyone else can reserve it. So if we get up there and a family reunion is going on, we're SOL.
Reservations are usually $25-75 depending on the size of the area. It covers trash pickup and whatever
If it's that cheap, as soon as a date is set I will pay for the reservation.
I usually used Coopers Branch 1 or 2. It parked about 50 cars. One of them had access to a boat dock and was more expensive to reserve. There are other day use areas that have more parking access.
Yeah, I will call them tomorrow and get estimate prices for January and see what we can come up with.
Do we know about what time frame in January we are looking at?

$45 to reserve the location of choice for a day. Chances are the specific spot will be near the beach. $5 parking per car. I will cover the reservation fee. The specific spot we choose will have plenty of parking and an outdoor covered pavilion for us to sit and eat. All I need to know is a specific date so I can call back.

They never mentioned anything about it being new but that's what they have told me when I called.
Well we will get to a definite date no later than Dec 3rd.

That's the number I called. If someone else knows something I haven't been told then cool. She said its a state mandate that parks and recreation centers charge a parking fee per car.
Out of all the times we have been there in the past, there was not one person that paid to park. Also where are we supposed to pay? There is not a booth with an attendant, to collect.
Unless I am confused about the location. But at the Coopers Branch location, I do not remember seeing one.
Im in the dark about it as well. I've never attended one of these meets nor have I ever been to Red Top Mountain. I called to get information and I relayed the information as it was told to me. Feel free to call.
I'm excited about this ! Jdm 1.7 and I will be attending these meets . This will be my first Prelude meet .

Damn its been awhile since i went to varsity where are we going to be heading after gather up everyone count me in.
There is no telling at this point. My best guess is things will be determined once we get there.
