We had it in the day use area, they have grills there and shade, but we used to do it early fall or mid spring when it was warm, the last one i did was late and it was chilly but standing near the big grill made it alright. Plus if you're gonna want people to come from other states, you gotta give em some lead time.

Yeah I'm not planning to have the meet until the beginning of next year. Wanted it around Jan or Feb. Might have to rethink the multi state meet and just keep it home. If people come they just come. So the default place would be the Varsity but whats another decent venue that atleast has food? And do you think anyone would show up to a meet if it were sooner? Say December.
