Depending on what time you have this set for, I might swing by the Varsity. This is the same day as the Winter S2000 meet, so I will be on my way to Perimeter for that. Also RED TOP (if that is the Lake Alatoona ) spot we used to meet, does not have to be reserved. Just the big covered spot, but the parking lot is 1st come 1st served, and the small grills are there for the taking. But keep in mind, normal people (not in the car world) more than likely will not be wanting to stand around a pit fire, grilling in the cold weather.Quote:

Jeremy, that's the spot I used to have the accord/prelude meets at. You don't have to reserve it, but it assures that YOU have the covered area for the day, otherwise anyone can use it, and anyone else can reserve it. So if we get up there and a family reunion is going on, we're SOL.
Reservations are usually $25-75 depending on the size of the area. It covers trash pickup and whatever
If it's that cheap, as soon as a date is set I will pay for the reservation.
I usually used Coopers Branch 1 or 2. It parked about 50 cars. One of them had access to a boat dock and was more expensive to reserve. There are other day use areas that have more parking access.
Yeah, I will call them tomorrow and get estimate prices for January and see what we can come up with.
Do we know about what time frame in January we are looking at?
Well cool. Good to see someone making headway. I wasn't able to call today but I guess Bacon will call tomorrow. The pre-meet date is set. Hope to see most of out.
$45 to reserve the location of choice for a day. Chances are the specific spot will be near the beach. $5 parking per car. I will cover the reservation fee. The specific spot we choose will have plenty of parking and an outdoor covered pavilion for us to sit and eat. All I need to know is a specific date so I can call back.
$5 a car for parking? This is something new....
They never mentioned anything about it being new but that's what they have told me when I called.
