Word of advise, next time you order anything where it requires the currency to be converted, ask that they provide you with a quote in $USD and you can stick it to them instead of running into a situation like this one.
Trans is slowly coming together. Forgot to get my Bro-in-laws Dial calipers yesterday so I'm at a stand still on re-assembly till I get them to measure the right shims. I need .150 worth of shims to give me my .002 - .003 pre-load on the Cluster shaft.

You can say that! Sheared every tooth off of the 2nd gear counter shaft after power shifting on DR's @ 6000 rpm. Started racing at 11 am, was back on the trailer at 11:05 am.

When I first shifted into second I thought to myself "Wow, Who in the hell put Marbles in my Trans?" The engine promptly banged off of the rev limiter and it took a second to figure out what happened. I put it in third, it felt good so I ran throught the rest of the 1/4. Nothing like blowing the trans and running the 1/4 in only 1st and 3rd gear and still running a 15 second 1/4 mile. At least it left me plenty of time to drink beer and shoot the crap with everyone.
What really sucks is it only had 700 miles on it. I had just put these gears in so they would handle the 400+ Ft Lbs of torque. Guess they weren't up to the challenge.

You know what you're doing, huh? I hate transmissions. I had to tear one down at school and rebuild it. NEVER doing it again. I had so many left over parts and needle bearings everywhere.
I do all work on my car myself, but if a my tranny craps out on me, I'm replacing...not rebuilding.
i hope that gear was covered under warranty.

This car hunt is getting irritating.
Is it so much to ask for, to get a car that looks nice, is an automatic, and can handle 100 miles a day?
I'm thinking about saying fuck it and buying another 90-93 celica, even though I don't want 2. A 94-99 vert, yes, but I only have $3k.
Atleast if a celica breaks down, I have all the tools and manuals to fix it.
As soon as we get a new car, I can park mine and build it up for turbo.
Chris, I am in the same boat as you. Sold the 240 and have $3K to blow on either another car or blow it on mods for the focus like a JRSC or something.....too many choices.
I'm to cheap to pay someone else to do the work. Plus if I'm working on the car, I'm not out at the bars drinking!
It sure was, well the labor was anyways! And I guess the gear kinda was as in they are gonna let me pay them for a whole new set of gears. It all boils down to how fast do you wanna pay.

i love transmissions... i built a custom d series transmisson full of old z6, ex, and dx transmissions i found in junkyards..
i want to rebuild mine some day.. but i doubt i'll touch a bolt on my motor until 300k miles.

I just scored me another Free Toolbox from work! They were gonna throw this out due to the top being beatup. Now I just gotta figure out where to put it. I'm gonna sandblast it first and put a fresh coat of paint on it though.
