Hahahaha im still laughing my ass off. GM and Camaro fans talked so much shit to the Ford guys for the Shelby not being able to put down the power and how the ZL1 is so much superior. Every magazine in the world got low 12's and MM&FF got a 11.95 out of a stock, iron block, '10 GT500 with street tires. MM&FF pulled out a 11.59 @120 on DRs. Hell even the 500hp '07-'09 GT500's trapped High 11's with DR's.

Steve knows I have a Hydraulic press here at the house, I'm sure it would have helped a little. I'm home in the evenings now that i'm on day shift, should have dropped a line!

Thank you very much for the offer. What's sad is we also had access to a hydraulic press and still had difficulty lol. The actual shape of the control arm was the biggest hinderence.

I went out today to start bending the hard fuel lines on the shitbox, kinked one, said fuck it and went back in the house and cracked a beer. I guess i'll be running all braided instead of some hard and some braided.

I always freeze mine in the freezer overnight and that helps remove them. Stops the rubber from moving around so much. Also freeze the new poly ones as well. Shrinks them up a little.

The new ones were not poly but instead spherical. Like Daniel had mentioned, the shape of the control arm didn't make it any easier when trying to press out the bushings with the hydraulic press. Once we figured it out though, it wasn't AS bad. When we went to reinstall the control arms, we realized that the arrows stamped on the bushing were incorrect so we had to repeat the process again. Nothing went smooth that night unfortunately.

I wish we would just go ahead and sell it, but my dad "needs" it. All this coming from a man who doesn't leave the house so the car just sits in the garage. He refuses to pay for any of the maintenance as well as car care/cleaning. It's stupid. I have my own car now, so dumping more money into this thing is not my ideal situation, but he doesn't wanna get rid of it. Nothing I can really do about it, otherwise I would :\

I just need to get it out of there. I still love it enough not to let it die in the garage. It deserves better than that.

Freeze them anyway. They will contract and it will be easier to press them in.

    All is not lost!!!
Lingenfelter goes 11.03 @130 with their ZL1. Little bit of 109, slicks and skinnies, smaller pulley and an intake.
Maybe all isnt lost now that we're seeing some modded times come out......well except for your warranty

Agreed, but then again it is always fun to see Chevy get their ass handed to them!

It was probably a good thing you didn't drive all the way down here. No one was really out.

A lot of my pictures didn't come out like I had planned, but oh well I still had fun and am learning this new lens!

You must have not read the article where the ZL1 whooped the Boss 302's ass. The new suspension is awesome as shit. It looks like Chrysler will be the cheerleaders in the battle between Ford & Chevrolet. Obviously I would vote for Ford. I was behind a '13 Mustang yesterday. Looks pretty good.

Hahaha I read that article. The new mag. suspension is amazing but I am just regarding the trap speeds and street performance. To be honest......I dont see too many people buying tickets to ship their ZL1 over to the Nurburgring. The Boss is also 10K+ cheaper and a N/A 5.0L vs a 6.2L S/C. Not making excuses, just saying Motor Trend did not have their hands on the 2013 so they are just going with what they got. Im excited to see Chevy and Ford go head to head over the next few years

The ZL1 can hit the curbs and the car just sticks to the ground. It is very impressive thats for sure. I know Motor Trend has the video on their youtube but I dont feel like looking for it and probably not too many would even give a shit to watch it haha.

None of us have talked about it in a whole so I honestly have no idea. We'll probably bang it out Thursday or Friday night, typical of us.

What time did we leave last time? Especially if the parking lot is fairly "small", we should leave nice and kinda maybe sorta early.
