Day 2 (few days ago)
almost naked
^ ITR springs on deck!
Tool used to install and uninstall the springs....and here's how it works:
the bar is used as a support, and you push down on the spring, use a magnet to take the 2 valve locks out, and then take the spring out. the put the spring in, and put the valve locks back in.
no pics of us actually taking a spring out, cause the air compressor was going off and on, and if it cuts off then ur basically ****ed. plus, the fawking vavle locks are so hard to get in on the intake side. we lost one about 3-4 times, and one time i actually went down into one of the holes that goes to the bottom of the motor. we thought we were gonna have to take the entire head off... lol it wasn't untill then, that we decided to plug the holes w/ shop rags, haha. lesson learned for the next cam swap
Springs in!!!!!
and yes, it was a biitch
Side note, i dont think many people actually swap the springs and retainers... well, if they do, then they probably just swap the exhaust side, because they're really easy. the intake side takes alot of patience, and defanitly aggervates the fawk out of you.
