yeah i relocated my battery for two reasons:

1. my engine bay is quite packed with the motor swap in there + other additions under the hood.

2. relocating the battery enables me to get the cross-weights closer to where I want them when corner weighting. (drag racers may want more weight up front - but that's not my concern as I focus more on autox and road racing.)

You'll notice that many manufacturers target a 50/50 weight distribution for optimal handling for sports cars. There are packaging and design constraints with a FF honda. That being said, once you are playing with spring rates, you can do a lot to counteract the lack of traction in the front (stiffer springs in the rear ~800lb+ in my case do a lot to improve off the line traction, as do traction bars).

And people may be surprised to learn that replacing your battery with a lighter one (even in the stock location) will actually lighten up your car more than a carbon fiber hood in many cases.
