Was the battery you got at Batteries Plus (which I think is a cool spot) less than $19.99, lolol?

On to another question. Is your battery relocated to the trunk/hatch? Later, QD.

I bought my battery from the online retailer in my original post. It was purchased at the price listed in my original post.

Yes, my battery is relocated to the passenger rear of my vehicle but I am thinking of moving it into the fender area.

I thought it was. Don't remember reading it, but for some reason, I was thinking it was. This is why I ask and maybe you can elaborate:

When racing, isn't it best to have plenty of weight on the drive tires for better traction? For an import car, I would think, as light as most imports are, you'd want to keep as much weight on the front end as possible. I understand the opposite side placement for weight distribution, but wouldn't removing weight from the front of the car cause less traction on the drive tires?

ps, this isn't a rip on you. It's a legit question. I really don't know if there is something more to it than I don't know. Later, QD.

You could say the same for CF hoods and such. In this case, I think he is trying to reduce weight that is higher up (higher center of gravity) such as where the battery sits stock and relocate it to the fender well so it has lower center of gravity or to the rear passenger side to offset some of the drivers weight. In any case I agree you would want to have more weight for better traction, but the 15-30 lbs one may save wouldn't make that big of a difference. A better suspension setup could counteract the loss of weight imo.

I always wondered that as well.

You'll notice that many manufacturers target a 50/50 weight distribution for optimal handling for sports cars. There are packaging and design constraints with a FF honda. That being said, once you are playing with spring rates, you can do a lot to counteract the lack of traction in the front (stiffer springs in the rear ~800lb+ in my case do a lot to improve off the line traction, as do traction bars).
Gotcha. That makes sense. Lolol, there's something about you may have noticed. I know a lot of shiit in the world, but if there's something I don't mind admitting, it's my lack of knowledge in cars. Beyond changing tires and oil, there's not a lot I can tell you. I know of bits and pieces, but not real technical stuff. Later, QD.
