I need one of two things...
I've got a buddy that can hook me up with passing emissions for 20$. Problem is, I need someone else with an EF hatch that can pass emissions. Anyone got one laying around?
The second thing is does anyone have an aftermarket EF hatch exhaust system I could borrow.
We have a theory that states that maybe a 1800cc motor can't pass through a 1.5" (inside diameter) pipe because it causes too much backpressure which may be what keeps frying my cat converter. Our last go-round we passed everything but the highspeed (35mph) CO and HC... Basically, that means that with the enging revving, maybe a 1.5" pipe is condensing all the exhaust to such a confided space that it makes the emissions computer THINK that it's putting out more than neccesary exhaust instead of the same amount of exhaust being less confided througha larger pipe...
Thoughts or donations so that I can pass with one of these two methods?

EvasiveEF9: So you've seen how they have that little pipe they stick in the tail pipe...
EvasiveEF9: Think about how condensed the exhaust from that engine is coming out of a 1.5" pipe instead of a 2.0 (at least)

LoL, I know the frustration. Spent a day cleaning the shit outta the engine bay and motor. Put it in, and right after the swap I left a nut loose on the valve cover while setting timing. Oil EVERYWHERE.
