Did the previous poster compare a GTR trans to a 7 series Bimmer? WOW.

I'm willing to go out on a limb and say that the paddle shifting in a GTR is on par or better then Ferrari/Lambo/(Insert ridiculously overpriced exotic machinery here).
What makes it a hack job? just stating that a lot of those foxbodies you see doing wheel stands and running 6s down at the local 1/8 mile have these under their car

vs paying for something like this

Nothing in the mustang suspension needs to be changed. You can weld the torque boxes, seem weld, box in the control arms, and use factory springs... in bang for the buck, nothing tops a mustang.

That's a very debatable statement right there…just saying.

There are plenty of cars that you can choose from that will outrun a Mustang given enough money to do so. The new Cobras are nearly perfect for every type of competition as they are modified exceptionally well from the factory. It doesn't take much to make an already quick Mustang even quicker.

I don't know why Import guys can't get past the "bang for the buck" aspect of Stangs. Speaking as someone who has owned multiple imports and a couple Stangs, it's hard to top the performance you get for the low dollars with a Stang. To be honest, neither Japanese nor American cars tend to out handle European front engine rear wheel drive cars out of the box. They all have positives and negatives.

Haha touché good sir. I wasn't saying any one specific car is better, I was purely making a general statement. I'll admit it, your 240 would run circles around this Prelude because you've put 10x the work into it.

This is the reason I said what I did.

No disrespect but I hear hammer and cutting wheel I think permanent changes.

I don't know a whole lot about mustangs and even less about fox bodies admittedly. So you harm intended.

Depends on Honda and Mustang of course. I got my Cobra for a STEAL of a price. But this argument is kinda dumb. You can take any car and with the right amount of funds have it handle better than most any car.

Oh and the argument with the silly GTR trans... T56 or bust.

Nothing is hacked up on my foxbody. It is a DD and at least cleaner than 95% of the cars on this forum. I'll run any non-hacked-up, stock weight Honda car on this site.

Why does everyone on IA have to assume everyone's talking shit about each other? This is no pissing contest. A proper Mustang has balls and can corner like a beast. Anyone that's ever driven one knows this.

I just got all worked up for no reason, and I'll admit that. I've never driven a mustang, let alone a "proper" mustang, so I would not know. Hopefully, one day I will get the opportunity to drive one.

Most people who hate on them havnt. It's impossible not to appreciate them when you've owned them. There's a reason the Mustang is the #1 selling sports car since 1965.

I'll admit i didn't much like them either til i got to drive a few. I'm still not in love with the average stang, but as a "sports" car is pretty stout ( sans the live rear axel)
