    I expect that he upgraded to a Cobra rear w/ the LSX just as a lot of the other FD guys do.
    I like it because it has the appeal of the LSXFD swap (a light, unexpected chassis) but the driving experience of a convertible.

    What an informed post.

    This is a great swap. Let's look at the facts:

    1. Japan builds incredible chassis/suspension systems. America doesn't (with the exception of the Vette and a very select few others).

    2. America DOES, however, make big power in compact, reliable packages. Asian powerplants make good power per liter, but they're missing liters...

    So...put the two together. It's a pretty simple idea really...

    damn! hmmm.... now i wanna do one with an ls2

    people, the lsx blocks are aluminum and the motor mounts are set far back on the chassis anyway... this will hardly affect the weight distribution, if any at all. the only thing heavier is the transmission, and that's damn near in the middle of the car so i dont see that being a problem as far as the dynamics of the car.
