man thatd be the sex (the m concept)... and drop a e46m3 motor in it with turbo... would be a beast straight from hell.

i saw one of those vw rally golfs the other day on the highway... it was blue and had an electronic cutout exhaust? when they open with a button for better flow? it sounded mean as hell though.

    ah, ok! There's two options...

    1) Locate an E30 Touring model (4 door station wagon, see below) and use the rear clip behind the wheels. Considering there's only a very small handful in the US and shipping cost on a parts car from Europe would be outrageous that's not going to happen. They were available in Canada but extremely rare.

    2) Shorten an E30 coupe behind the fuel tank door just like people have for years with mini trucks then stretch the C pillar to match.

Before you ask about structural integrity, it will have a minimum of a 6 point cage along with multiple gussets between the body and cage. The shock towers will be tied into it as well so in essence the final product will be a tube frame car...

I mentioned the 2 Deure Stoere Touring in post #15, think they were made in 1986/87 but extremely rare if they were ever even a production vehicle...nobody knows for sure.

ok ok ok.... stop with this tuner nonsense!

This is how this car needs to be made. Forgive for cost going through the roof.

    1. Powerplant..... NA from the 2.0 ETCC car

    2. I like the interior and chassis to have two seats and be built to FIA Group N rules.

    2. Paint......

yes i realize cost = $300,000...... but its ok!

lol I wouldn't object to a 275hp 8,500 RPM 4 cylinder engine but for just a tiny percentage of what that one cost I can have more horsepower with TONS of torque and if I gernade the M50 you can always find them all day long for under $1,500. I mean, you can get brand new remanufactured one with all new internals for $1,800, lol...cheaper than Hondas!!

As for the cage, I highly doubt it will ever meet ETCC requirements but I want it to look and work just as good...the question is x-bracing, ladder bars, or both?!

I love the Jagermeister paint scheme, both on the e30 M3 and the Porsche 930/935's, but i'm gonna have to say no unless someone wants to donate the paint and decals! I'd rather keep her really clean looking, just like the interior of the above ETCC car, BUT I want all carbon fiber and black suede inside...

No, they were indeed a production vehicle. They were only available in germany though, a friend of mine on vwvortex has one that he imported here from somewhere in germany. I can't seem to find the pics of it right now, I am looking though.

I sure hope I didn't delete the pics.

That is the car I thought about when I first saw your "e30 monster". The back part kind of reminded me of it.

I've officially joined the dark side Just picked up a '96 328i sedan that's been hammered in the rear. Have all the maintenance & service records since '99, immaculate black leather sport interior (other than the broken drivers seat from impact), brand new headlights, fog lights, sport wheels, all new HVAC/climate control electronics, etc. etc. Can't wait to snatch the engine and transmission out of it...
