ah, ok! There's two options...

1) Locate an E30 Touring model (4 door station wagon, see below) and use the rear clip behind the wheels. Considering there's only a very small handful in the US and shipping cost on a parts car from Europe would be outrageous that's not going to happen. They were available in Canada but extremely rare.

2) Shorten an E30 coupe behind the fuel tank door just like people have for years with mini trucks then stretch the C pillar to match.

Before you ask about structural integrity, it will have a minimum of a 6 point cage along with multiple gussets between the body and cage. The shock towers will be tied into it as well so in essence the final product will be a tube frame car...
