Nope. At that speed, the piston speeds in my engine is actually alot slower than any honda you're willing to name, even the NSX's 3.0L & 3.2L engines

I don't believe there is one (Shaun correct me if I'm wrong). Either that or it is at 8K. There is no speed governor either, hence the reason I love these cars.

Fuel cut on stock 626, MX6 and Probe V6 5 speeds are all 7800 rpm. I've seen 8100 a few times, but not very often. I upgraded the valvetrain so I don't have to worry about valve float anytime soon. There's a few of our members who is making crazy power n/a and the fuel cut was bumped up to 9200 rpm.

BTW, ours don't have govenors, but is geared really high. The theoretical top speed of my car at that rpm is like 162 mph at 7800 rpm. I probably won't be trying to prove that theory anytime soon

I need to take a pic of the outside of my car at redline. It's more entertaining than seeing my tach at 7k.

The 1.6's by nature are more rev happier. Shorter stroke = less torque = slower piston speeds = pistion ring longevity. Longer stroke = broader torque range but faster piston speed the higher the rpm's. I prefer multiple cylinders with a shorter stroke. Torque can be made back by exhaust tuning. I'm working on something for that now
