I got bored oneday and decided to take a pic with my cellphone, so that explains the quality. BTW, my tach isn't broken

K series 626. That's right. It's got a K in it.
Its hasn't blow up lol
Nope. At that speed, the piston speeds in my engine is actually alot slower than any honda you're willing to name, even the NSX's 3.0L & 3.2L enginesOriginally Posted by JDMjoe86

wow lol, i would never redline my car like that..and never tried to redline my type-s in 4th all the way.![]()
I don't believe there is one (Shaun correct me if I'm wrong). Either that or it is at 8K. There is no speed governor either, hence the reason I love these cars.Originally Posted by The Youngn

Fuel cut on stock 626, MX6 and Probe V6 5 speeds are all 7800 rpm. I've seen 8100 a few times, but not very often. I upgraded the valvetrain so I don't have to worry about valve float anytime soon. There's a few of our members who is making crazy power n/a and the fuel cut was bumped up to 9200 rpm.Originally Posted by The Youngn
BTW, ours don't have govenors, but is geared really high. The theoretical top speed of my car at that rpm is like 162 mph at 7800 rpm. I probably won't be trying to prove that theory anytime soon

Fuel cut is 7500 on all kl v6 mazda motor..Your stock tach is off, common problem for the v6 motor...Put a aftermarket tach, and you will seeI don't go past 7000rpm in my ****.P.S Only the auto can reach 160mph.

I dont have a pic, but
Black R

haha... im not going to lie....... thats just a google pic, thats why i didnt really say anything. it was impressive so i figured i'd post it. it just doesnt even seem right for any motor to spin at almost 17,000 revolutions per minute, i can't even fathom that.Originally Posted by blank cd
I need to take a pic of the outside of my car at redline. It's more entertaining than seeing my tach at 7k.
lol i dont really like to just go out and bounce of redline for pics but mines at 7200

LOL nice try.. that picture was taken when you turn the ignition "ON" and the needle goes all the way to redline and comes back to "0".

Yeah but thats 37 Celsius not Farenhiet, so that is alot warmer than your thinking.
Can't believe nobody's posted any electric vehicle tach'si'm still looking for some redlined....
10,000's RPM's aren't uncommon with electric motors![]()
8,200 RPM bone stock : )
6.5k redline not limiter though lol
My chainsaw has a tach.
just go by sound
I heard the newer zo6's revved to 7k or something like that. Is that true?Originally Posted by LS2_KID

My EF has no tach... so I've never known.
There's been a few C5.R engines built to run 8,100....little less torque but alot more hp than the normal C5.R...850hp w/ 500 lbs-ft. torque :humps:Originally Posted by blackshine007

That one is modded to rev that high. Im not sure which revs faster stock. I hear the 1.6's are more rev happy though?Originally Posted by HypnoToad

lol i like my pushrods UNbent, thank you very muchmaybe when i put the cam with hardend pushrods in.
The 1.6's by nature are more rev happier. Shorter stroke = less torque = slower piston speeds = pistion ring longevity. Longer stroke = broader torque range but faster piston speed the higher the rpm's. I prefer multiple cylinders with a shorter stroke. Torque can be made back by exhaust tuning. I'm working on something for that nowOriginally Posted by simontibbett
