Haven't had a chance to retorque them. The car was only driven 25miles.

True retorque isn't needed until 500-700 miles.

Drain the oil and look for coolant, let it sit for 20-30min before draining it. Has it overheated?

    The block may be warped

If you are gonna get another b20 do NOT overbore it. We discussed this @ Taco Mac in Alpharetta. Make sure you got good crosshatches (hone) and call it a day. I know that prob means buying new slugs since yours are 84.5mm - but please listen to me man (if the sleeves are hurt). Either go 1.8l bottom or a honed b20 - but not an overbored b20. We don't talk much these days and that's that - just imagine that some1 else is telling you this and not me. If it's just a HG, then get it back on the road and get another NON-OVERBORED b20 on a stand as a backup block. GL

There have been plenty of people I know with overbored b20's without problems, but it seems for every 3 that don't, there is 1 guy that does. Maybe you aren't that guy. I'm building 2 almost identical over bored b20 vtecs right now. I don't think that either of them will have problems. Too much effort has gone into all my builds, and over the years all of them still run strong. Lets hope yours isn't destroyed.

Also, do you want a fully built Ls head with all the Crower goodies you were wanting?

Honda service Manual calls for throwing a b20 block away if it needs an overbore unlike any other b series

the sleeves are extremely thin compared to other motors.

I bet dem honduh injuneers know sumthin we don't

some might be ok, but a bored b20 block is playing with fire

Overbore plus pressed in block gaurd could very easily cause a cracked sleeve in an already thin sleeve.

Well I drove it to a local import shop (if you call 40miles local LOL) to get checked out. The car ran perfectly fine and didn't overheat during the drive. Then when I got there the car wasn't smoking (even though it was smoking white like hell the past two days). So I'll see what they say. Hopefully, I can have it back on the road at the beginning of next week. If not, I still have a spare LS, b20, and b16 I can go back to. Keep ya'll posted.

I believe it was slightly low. It was after hours when I got there, so I could really get a good visual.

I been sick with the flu this week, so I finally got a chance to talk to the shop today. They performed a compression test and a leak down test to find that my motor is perfect. They put dye in the coolant systems to find out that the leak is coming from the radiator. So a new radiator and a tune, then I'm finally back on the road. They assumed the excess smoke is just condensation due to the cold weather. I'm looking forward to having my car back on the road because I'm tired of driving the ol' d15b7 around.

Well, my car is tuned and ready to be picked up. I would of gotten it today, but I had to spend 12hrs at school dealing with class and preparing for a presentation (real fun ).

Anyways, my friend tried to get #'s out of the tuner, but he was waiting to share them with me once I pick up the car. But he did leak that I made more than what I made last time. I'm cool with that since those numbers I was open header, and now I have a full exhaust. So I guess my valve may had helped. We'll see tomorrow.

No, at a shop call DG Perfermance in NC.

I know it's not good to compare different dyno, so I'm not going to say I pick up 18hp and 4lbs-tq, but just for a comparison b16s make between 125-135whp on there dyno.

I actually just picked up the car, and my butt dyno tells me it's stronger than before. I'll post up the graph in a minute. (And the numbers were actually 218.1hp and 160.6ft-lbs)

I know numbers are subjective but I'm sure its Fun enjoy it! 220whp ain't no joke! That's a lot of tq too I made 159tq when I made 237whp.

    Just a slight update.

So since last October, I had a slight skip during partial throttle. So I finally found the problem. It was my rotor button. The bad part about it was I thought I checked my dizzy when the problem started :crys: Anyways, the screw loosen itself up, and allowed the rotor to move freely in the axial direction. I found this out when I went to change out my ignitor and coil. Luckily i did find it, because it started to oblong. Anyways, the motor seems to run okay now *fingers cross*

    *sidenote*
I wonder did this affect my #s any?!? LOL

    Slight update

In my question of making more power I decided to swap out my header. During my last tuning session I had a dented tri-y and made pretty decent numbers.

    pic of the old header

I decided to upgrade to the big tube version since I have 84.5mm b20v (I hear you lose power throughout your powerband with smaller bores)

While I was at it, I decided to throw on a skid plate (I'm pissed because it's not worth the $50 they charge for it)

    Installed it

Luckily I installed the skid plate.

I don't have new numbers yet, because I'm waiting for a few extra parts before I get tuned again. The goal is to install Blox Bs, and a PerformerX before I get tuned.

Also, I was trying to get a used SMSP replica (High End I believe), but the guy that was selling it was pussy footing around. After trying to contact him for a week, I said fuck it and order this one just to have him PM that evening about the header :smh: Anyways, I don't drive it much since I just got a truck. So I'm not "too worried" about the header. I'm going to eventually raise the car up and put much stiffer suspension on it to help with the clearance issues.
