I really don't like that front end that much but the rest is ok. The best looking s2k kit is the INGS +1:
I don't like kits - and I especially don't like wings - but I'd rock that in a heartbeat(not the graphics/stickers though - you couldn't pay me enough to have graphics/stickers on my car)

But then.......
what happened to Speed only?
i say do what you wan to do but please have some speed to back it up
Wings only function at high speeds, and do nothing on fwd cars.
If it's a track car it's cool, if it's a street car, sell the thing and use the money for gas.

Most of the stuff on your "street" s2k was proven on the track, so were wings.
Trust me, I have an STI so i know wings on the street![]()
Are you asking me to explain to prove that I know what wings do or because you want to know the answer?
Are you implying that a wing is going to be functional at 45mph? And how about 45mph on a fwd car?

No not needing you to prove anything to me.Originally Posted by afwfjustin

i hope that's your boosted car in the sig because it qualifies under "speed only", But there are things you probably wouldn't add to it even though you'd be faster. Granted if the stock look is what you like better, then that's fine but knocking a civic with a wing just cause you think it does nothing at 45mph is unjust.
Yellow Factory's eg runs 1.02 min laps at Tsukuba - what if you saw it on the street.
i guess i'm biased towards thinking about the track or mtn run. That's why i see nothing wrong with wings. I guess it's more about what you want out of your car.
A wing is functional at 45 mph.... it's adding weight to the vehicle.

I think it's obvious that I'm about speed over looks. Yes that is my car in my signature. The only thing that makes my car look different than stock is the huge fmic, missing stock plastic grill (to provide more air flow to fmic), 17" SSR Competitions, Bilstein coilovers, and single 3" exhaust. Oh, I do have a single exhaust cap to cover the stock 2nd hole for the OEM dual exhaust that is no longer there. I also have JDM clear headlight diffusers and sidemarkers to replace the ugly amber on a red car. The rest of the car is factory.Originally Posted by EJ25RUN
What are you implying that I wouldn't add to the car that would make it faster? I rarely drive my car over 80mph so adding a wing is pointless.
That Civic is a highly tuned vehicle - are you really saying that some kid with an intake and heavy 18" cast wheels really needs a wing while cruising around town?
If a car really needs extra weight in the rear at 45 mph, then there are a lot cheaper ways to do so without having to spend several hundred (or 1000+) on a wing. 50 pound bags of sand are 3.00 from Home Depot

It's not technically a wing - it's an OEM rear deck spoiler that came factory on the car.
I never said that I didn't care about the appearance of my car - I mean I don't want it to look trashed (why I don't have a body kit!) which is why I did the subtle JDM amber deletes. I forgot about the calipers though - you caught me.
I also removed the black tape that is adhered to the frame around the windshield - I wanted to JDM body color look so I spent a few hours taking it off.

imo... some body kits look incredible... some just don't....
i don't consider kits rice unless they just don't fit the car at all, and the car has a million decals on it and the inside/outside of the car has more flashing lights than a rave.....
we all have different views on what looks good and what doesn't.... and yes styles come and styles go.... but i think anyone with any actual sense of taste knows there is a limit to what you should put on a car...
this is why when I bought an import, it was a uncommon car erased from the dealer parts database with factory widebodies
But I feel you. I was one of those guys who wanted to kit out a car and everything. Oddly enough the Starion saved me. Stock and lowered for me.

I've never really liked body kits. Front and rear lips are good enough for me. I rather put a few grand into the motor and not the exterior.

but back to topic......i've always liked kits according to what my taste was like. i was so indecisive, up to recently, about what i was going to put on my car, i didnt put a damn thang and just rolled with the dings til i made my mind up.....and i found one that suits my tastes and am saving up for it. but so long as someone COMPLETED the body work, or left the kit off their car till they were able to COMPLETE the bodywork i've been fine.
oh, and so long as it complemented the car well? i'm good. but then again, YOUR car isnt MY car, so everyone do whatever you like.
i've owned my 240 for 2 years now and bought it 'cause i've always like the S13(was a sophmore in HS, when i seen my first) and that's why i got it....then i noticed it was hugely popular....oh well...we all bought our cars hopefully because we like them, not to be fad-ish. I heard about drifting a 4+ years back when a friend of mine was stationed in japan, but my interest in it isnt huge....it sometimes irks me to hear "so are you gonna drift it?" my response, "i'd be interested in learning..." but i'd personally like to master my OVERALL driving skill, so i'm interested in all competitive driving forms...and i prolly won't go SR-rb-1jz-2jz.
alot of people here have very good response but like it was said in the beginin do to your car what ever is your desire not what other this is right cause then you will just be a quiff and people will laugh at you for being a quiff

Wrong. They do something, they keep the rear end on the ground. Under braking you don't think it is good to have both the front of rear pushing down? You want aero front and rear, regardless of the drivetrain layout... Should a RWD car not need a front lip?Originally Posted by afwfjustin

And anything with a "kit" and graphics all of a sudden became rice. I'm sorry but I grew up in the mid to late eighties when there were not many "kits" around. I get tired of looking at Civic, Integras, 240's and every other import lowered and wheels/tires. I mean come on, what happened to originality and individuality. Now too many of the young crowd calls everything "rice." I can't stand that. We are the only one's that can change the scene. What's funny is how the JDM style is not the "style" in Japan. Ever seen some of the vans over in Japan? Huge wings and outrageous bodykits. I wish this whole kiddie "rice" thing would stop.Bodykits, long live.
this car is so sick, I believe its a NA 4 rotor correct?

How can you have speed if you don't have the proper down force for the car or a way to cool your brakes? Especially if they are stock.Originally Posted by afwfjustin

Wider bodies enable you to put wider wheels on, whether wider wheels & tires will make a car faster or handle better solely depends on the application. It is however normally more aggressive looking and more aesthetically pleasing with wider wheels and tires.
What's my "body kit" classified as?

Here's a wide body kit from a small company in california: hand laid front fenders, rear flares, sideskirts, and bumper for an FC. Other than the functional louvers on the hood that seem a bit too obtrusive, the car flows extremely well...tell me with a solid color paint scheme (no graphics) it wouldn't be one of the sexiest FC's on the street.

Thats not a bad bodykit for a fc, to certain degree it is function too.
thats a clean integra...i like it a lot!Originally Posted by speedminded
The thing that I can't understand is that the"real JDM" guys as in over in Japan, are the ones who have already had the insane kits and paint and everything else.
I get tired of the Sheep-like way people wander from trend to trend all the while praying that no one calls them out for being different.
Grow some ball and STFU with all of the "ME too" convo's Whats wrong with just being yourself? if you like a kit, roll with it. You like em O.G. Original, there aint nothing wrong with that either.Live and let Live!

i agree^ I miss going to the car shows(local, or nopi) and seeing different things. I mean yea some times i do see a car with a kit and say it looksbut thats because it wasnt done right. I hope that people can get back to doing there own thing for what they think looks good, i mean why else would u put so much money into a car, b/c i hope its not to impress someone u dont even know.Tha main thing is, is that everyone needs to quit hatin, if u got something neg. to say keep it to yourself.
