Has anyone tried using a Victor X intake manifold on their N/A setup? Just curious to see what kind of gains or faults it brought to them?

I tried it on a b20 vtec, and went from 210whp, to 185whp.
victor x has a huge plenum and is best for forced induction applications. check out the edelbrock performer x for NA.

He probably kept the stock tb.Originally Posted by Init2winit
Remember to match the intake manifold opening with the throttle body. Old thread.lol. Thats alot of power to have lost. That does suck.

Everything was matched. It is just way too big for most n/a applications.Originally Posted by bRiAnMcIvIcS
True that.

it tends to make power in high compression 1.8's and 2.0's but unless the 1.8 is built with some nice size cams and a ported head most 1.8's can't flow enough air to really put the manifold to good use because on the huge plentum. 2.0's can make pretty good power with them in mild compression setups but it's nothing you would want to use on your b16 or near stock 1.8 unless it's boosted or built.
I had a 2.0 setup and had the victor x and matching tb..I made decent power but never got my car fully tuned.....
