    wrong. The type R head is actually more like a ported and polished B16A head than a P72 (GSR) head. A type R head will yield less compression than a GSR head. The GSR has the smallest combustion chamber of all the B series heads. The reason a type R engine has higher compression is that it uses pistoms with a larger dome than the P72 pistons in the GSR block.

    I say if your going to do this, you should do it the right way. Get a set of higher compression pistons, and get a B16A head, get it ported and polished, or get the type R head.
