lol, funny how my dad's 70hp 1956 356 Speedster would run circles around 300hp Vettes at Sebring and Daytona...with 6" slicks.

Profile doesn't matter in the rain, it's the width. A wider tire is more likely to hydoplane since it has more contact surface requiring to push more water out. That's why i laugh at off-road vehicles with big wide tires...light weight jeeps will just sit on top and spin but if they have a skinnier tire it will dig in and bite allowing traction.
