In order to take full advantage of a StgII or III camshaft, you're going to need more than just a cam... highly agressive cams will not work well at all with stock compression. You'll need to raise the comp in one way or another to see your max. hp output increase a noticeable amount.
BUT, if the "sound" is all you're wanting... cam away and rice it up.

do not forget to upgrade your valvetrain. If you're on a limited budget with only one car; snapped valvesprings are the things nightmares are made out of.
