all of those type of trannies suck. Having that on a sports car is redundant imo and I don't even know why people bother with them. The sad part is some people glorify these so much, they think they blow the doors off a manual transmission car in a race. I mean, its a small, lightweight car and the engine isn't that big. Lazy asses just don't want to deal with driving stick. The only exception is if you have a condition in which you can't deal with shifting.

All of those types of trannies? Guess what........you're wrong. Volkswagens DSG with paddle shifters (basically tiptronic) shifts faster than a manual.

Okay. Agreed. But if I was in a 1000hp Veyron I wouldnt want to be worrying about shifting so Id opt for automatic even if there was a manual.

yea,i mean i agree...some people just love the tried and true manual...but i dont like dealing with a clutch pedal(so sue me)but i want to be able to control the shifts...id rather pay little more for the SMT..
