The only prob I see w/ roll-races is that it takes the driver out of the mix a lot of times. I don't want to race your car - I want to run YOU while you are in your car so I like the dig. On the flip-side, rolls are "quick-setup" type of runs where if fuzz shows up you never stop moving... and you can say that you weren't racing and don't know the other driver. Building a car that doesn't leave from the dig on the street is not an "excuse" to only run from the roll. Why do I say this, b/c I know guys that are TRUE street-racers (IMO) and can make 500+ whp damn near dead hook and proceed to roll out on your ass. These guys are a dying breed. On the flip side, cars that can leave hard from the dig on the street usually aren't very impressive on a prepped surface. You gotta pick your poison... I know some street guys that will NOT meet you at the track just for this reason... they've figured out how to set a car up for unprepped surfaces and don't want to change it up just to prove a point at the track.
Silly thread though - but I think that was by design.
