Some of yall follow the news so you have probably heard of a Bosnian man sentenced to life in prison in Muskogee(sp) County. He is one of my parents friends and well I just wanted to get your guys' opinion on if giving him life was a right thing to do.

First of all, he had two police officers who were at the scene testify in his defense.

He was working at a construction site and carried a gun on himself at all times. a group of Mexicans(sorry to use the word in a harsh way, but thats what they were) jumped him and started beating him. One had a knife and threatened to kill him. He shot one that was on top of him and the guy that got shot was sent to the hospital. He died at the hospital, and so the bosnian dude got charged with murder even though he was also in the hospital for being beat up and he was pretty messed up also.

So I just wanted to know if yall think it was right for the judge to give him life in prison for self-defense.
