Default Who Watches The Walking Dead?

Did you catch the episode last night? Did anyone wonder what the lone Walker in the field that Shane saw both times signified? Im thinking it was to signify how Shane felt, all alone and lost, which is what that Walker was, alone in the field appearing lost.

    Discuss.

Interesting theory. I'm still waiting for them to reveal what Jenner told Rick at the CDC, rumor is it's supposed to be revealed sometime this season.

Oh I didnt know that was even still in the plot, will be good to see. I hate how they still have yet to truly explain how the world ended up this way or if its the whole world or just the U.S. Annoys the hell out of me...LOL. But the lone Walker I know must have had some bigger meaning and thats the only thing I can come up with so far.

The Jenner thing I think is still rumor, but I've seen it being discussed several places. I've seen some other things about the walker in the field/Shane angle and seen a pretty convincing screen cap supposedly from a future episode, but I don't wanna post spoilers.

Post spoilers, I wanna know!! LOL A few people are mentioning how when they are heading out from the farm and returning back the Walker is on the same side both times (Same side as Shane) so they wonder if it was a edit error.

    lol.

    Spoilers ↓↓↓↓↓↓↓

Here's what he posted about ep. 11. I'm pretty sure he also says somewhere else in the thread that Rick stabs Shane and Shane becomes a walker in ep. 12.

Let's get down to it, then.

    Episode 11 "Judge, Jury, Executioner"

Episode starts with Daryl beating the shit out of Randall in a shed. Randall reveals that their group has about 30 people, including women and children, and that he doesn't know where they're staying since they're always on the move. He also says that they're heavily armed and tells a story about how they once found a guy with two young daughters while out scavenging and proceeded to rape the girls, letting their father live so he could watch. Daryl beats him even harder. Cue theme music.

Daryl leaves the shed and reveals to the others what he found out. Based on that knowledge, Rick decides that they must kill Randall. Only Dale argues against it and asks Rick for one day to talk to everybody and convince them to let Randall live. He gets no support from Daryl, Hershel, Shane or even Glenn. Then there's this big discussion about whether to go through with it. Dale vehemently objects, telling everyone that this is murder and means forever giving up hope for a civilized society. In the end, only Andrea sides with Dale. Majority rules, so Randall is to be executed.

There's also a moment between Hershel and Glenn at one point where the old man gives Glenn his father's watch along with his blessing to Glenn's relationship with his daughter.
Meanwhile, Carl sneaks into the shed to look at Randall who begs Carl to help him escape. Shane finds Carl there and drags him out, telling him to stop trying to get himself killed. Carl then immediately goes and calls Carol an idiot for believing that Sophia is in heaven. Rick asks him to apologize and start thinking before opening his mouth. Carl then steals Daryl's gun, finds a walker stuck in a swamp and tries to shoot it. Before he can do that, the walker breaks free and attempts to grab Carl, who freaks out and runs away.

At nightfall, Rick takes Randall to the barn and prepares to shoot him, but Carl comes in to watch. Rick can't kill Randall in front of his son, so he decides to hold Randall in custody for now. Near the woods, Dale finds a mutilated cow and is attacked by the same walker from before, who freed itself from the swamp to follow Carl. Dale doesn't get bit, but the walker tears open his guts before it's killed by Daryl. Dale's wounds are too grave and Daryl performs a mercy killing by shooting him in the head. End episode.

    1. I notice the show is bad about ever since the little girl got lost its not so much about Zombies but more Drama.
    2. You see less and less of other characters besides Rick,Shane,Lorrie. What the hell happen to the young boy at the farm that was helping Herschel?
    3. I noticed they are making a point from last nights episode finally that you dont only have to be bit but scratched also.
    4. With all this cutting the fingers last night then using their hands to kill leaves open wounds for infection. Then Rick has all this zombie blood going in his mouth lol
    last...
I cant see them staying at the farm to much longer and must think it will be over ran now when the zombies follow them home. They can't stay there cause the show has to move on . Also Shane will be killed very soon i hope i didn't spoil anything but that is the episode i anticipate the most

Also if it sticks to the book Shane dies by Carls hands...

You notice they left their blood around testing the zombies then ran out with the gate open. I am waiting to see if the Zombies smell them out and track them down

I doubt they could smell them out so to speak, but as much as they keep coming and going from they're probably slowly leading the walkers there without even realizing it. Pretty sure they'll be leaving the farm by the end of the season though.

I for one, don't want Dale to die, but in the books he did, so I suppose we need to stay true to the source material.

I greatly enjoyed the comparative fights between Rick and Shane which is a physical brawl, against the emotional/mental fight of Lori vs. Andrea.

To be honest, I wanted Andrea dead last season.

Yeah, Dale was around longer in the comics. A lot of speculation that he's the one that wanted to leave after Darabont left and that's why he's going so soon.

they have already cast THE GOVERNOR for season 3 and will begin shooting IIRC this May. So we know they are at least headed to the prison at some point.

Yeah I am anxious to see where they go with the rest of the season and season 3. Never thought a show about Zombies would hook me in but Im hooked to this like I am SOA. I hope they give exact details though soon on if this affected the whole world, just the US, etc. Id like to know if it affected the whole globe how did it spread all at once or is it just the United States or what?? I NEED DETAILS DAMNIT!!! NOW!!! LOL

Pisses me off that SOA only has 12 episodes a season and you have to wait till August/September for the new season.

From reading details online this show first aired and still grows in over 120 countries. Word is they have already filmed scenes from all around the world for future episodes. One episode will show down town Hong Kong, streets over ran but when we don't know.

Depends on how much they stick to the comic:

Cause of the Zombie outbreak and government collapse

Kirkman explained that going back to explain how the government originality collapsed, "...doesn't interest me, for the time being...I may change my mind eventually." As to the cause of the zombie outbreak, Kirkman wrote, "I have ideas [about the cause of the zombie plague]...but it's nothing set in stone because I never plan on writing it. So yes...I do know...kind of."

    In response to a question:

"I think you should elaborate more on how people can turn into zombies without one biting you, or how this whole mess started in the first place. Was it like a plague or a rapture kind of thing?"

    Kirkman responded:

"...That starts to get into the origin of all this stuff, and I think that's unimportant to the series itself, There will be smaller answers as things progress ... but never will we see the whole picture."
That's what he's said about the comic series, but I think to keep it viable for TV they're going to have to put out bits and pieces along the way of how it all started and let people try to piece it together. I think a TV audience will get bored with just having a run-on saga with no answers as to why or how.

I know a guy that knows T-Dogg, he is working an angle to get a few of us in, maybe as extra walkers.

A few thoughts from Sunday and beyond.

    1. The lone walker was purely theatrical I think.

    2. Shane cut his hand, killed a walker, cut his hand again. I think he turns at the end of the season, maybe symptoms at the end of this season to carry into next season.

    3. They are going to move away from the farm this season. My guess is that this other group finds the farm. The battle between the 2 ends up killing Hershel and the kid. The battle also attracts the walkers.

    4. Maggie and Glenn make up. Maggie ends up pregnant also.

Never got into SOA but I watch TWD every Sunday. I did not get a chance to watch last Sundays episode because I had to move and everything is still packed up right now. Where is Merles brother? I'm leaning towards him being alive. What became of the black guy and his son? I never read any of the comics or books or whatever.

I would like to see Glenn and Maggie together, and Shane dead and Dale to live, I like Hershel to. I think they will have to leave the farm though to keep the show going, If they stay there much longer its going to get very boring. I wanna be an extra on that show!!

Crave Online Ask: Are we going to see Merle again?

Norman Reedus: Yeah, you’ll see him. He’ll come back, eventually, and he’ll probably be super-pissed. That’s going to be interesting. Is blood thicker than these new bonds he’s made? There’s going to be a lot of confrontation going on, for sure.

That would be interesting. Id like to see the guy in the first episode or two that was left with a police radio with his son, that decided to stay on his own.
