It is quite a sharp lens out of the box actually. Now I finally have a camera that takes advantage of it too. With the D40, i had to manually focus it, the new camera has the focus motor in it so all the lenses focus perfectly!i know jack shit about this stuff but was that with the 50mm?

That last picture is great, it would have put it over the top if you desaturated the yellow gate, its drawing my eyes from the subject, which im assuming is the red clown nose (?) in the middle of the track?
Actually, it's a golf ball that was just chillin'... I had no hand in placing it there. I'll do something about the switch though...guess my monitor doesn't really make it pop to me.

Ya, you do. They got 2 giant octopie there but its no flash and so dark my camera coulnt focus(even though i can go as low as iso 3200). Daffy lighting, lol.

Yeah, your pics have been 50% border, a simple 10 pixel border will suffice if you have to do one at all. I dont do a border at all most of the time
