I'm just that guy that spends all his time printing.... T-shirts, banners, vinyl, etc.

While the branches appear to be distracting at first, think of it this way: They add some texture and repetition to the image because they mimick the shape of the waterfall. I think its a nice picture.

Longer shutter speed. Since it looks like it was during the day, he probably stacked some ND filters or polarizers on the lens to make it darker
It was at the railroad museum in Duluth. Walking through some of the cars was really creepy lol.

did you use a screw in filter for that or a universal filter thing like the cokin system?Originally Posted by hotshot

I think it's big johns trees here in Marietta as a matter of fact. They're in the white water parking lot
no filter on that shot. I do have the cokin system tho. You mean for the starry light effect? thats just the apeture blades doing that. If you do it wide open it doesnt do that
just noticed the horizon was off tho...

yeah 50mm. it was a n00b mistake of shooting into the sun while in the shade. bursts of light coming through the trees made the blokeh all ugly
why dont you?Originally Posted by hotshot
actually this time i didnt, i just know the kit lens does not produce bokeh of that magnitude unless you are extremely close to your subject and the back ground is pretty far, but even then it would be difficult to produce through a 18-55mm f3.5 kit lens..Originally Posted by hotshot
I have IE, or i dont know how to use it, lol
I like the bokeh...Originally Posted by CH@Dbee
