Before I make the final decision to get a canon eos rebel xt 350d what does everyone think? Will it be a good first camera for me? Yes I have held a few and like the canon and nikon. The canon is 2 years old but like new condition and comes with 2 lenses and 2 cards and some other stuff. what do you think? Do you think that is too dated of a camera? The XT is still a very capable camera. It will give you room to grow and learn about photography. Like I have said, I have one as a back up. The first publications I did were with an XT. So yes, if it feels good, you like the menu, and you feel it is a good deal then go with it. You can get that and build your lens collection if you decide to persure photography more as a serious hobby or just use what you have to take nice photos.
