I use sigs that big... and yeah I know nothing at all about photoshop... Not a damn thing... I don't know about rendering, design, adjusment levels.. nothing... I find it REALLY funny that you go there... And let me tell you... if THAT is what is in your digital portfolio.. good luck.. where are you wanting to go to school? Art Institute might accept that.. I'd be surprised if they do. I know that when I made the digital portion of my portfolio, I included stuff that didn't look like I got drunk one night and then pushed every button on my floating toolbar.. I thought of stuff that hadn't been done before, and had a field day. And yeah, Art Institute wanted me, but I didn't go.. why? I'm going somewhere better.. SCAD. If you know anything about art schools, then those 4 letters are paramount of one of the best schools in this country. And of course I know nothing about doing layouts using photoshop.. I only submitted a portfolio that got me not only a scholarship, but also the chance to go to Europe in January and help Kicker audio with their European product line release.. We are meeting with design execs at DesignWorks and Pininfarina, as well as building a show car for Kicker to take to shows around Europe.. and along with all of that goes presentations, 3D renderings, scale models.. you name it.
Yeah.. I know nothing at all about art.
Go home, learn a thing or two, and learn to take some fucking criticism. Because trust me.. when the head of design from Panoz sees your design and asks what you were thinking when you drew up your concept sketches, you will get THROWN THE FUCK OUT if you blow a gasket. Chill out. Your work is not that amazing and inventive. It's gonna take a LOT more than those OVER PHOTOSHOPPED pictures to impress me, and to impress anyone who would take the time to look at a digital portfolio. Chill out and come back when you have something interesting.
Nothing you have in there is new techniques, and I can duplicate each and every one of those in about 5 minutes flat. It's not that hard to slide the contrast slider to an extreme, play with color balances until you get LUCKY, and call it art. It's not. It's an overphotoshopped picture. Go read up on digital art, photoshop technique, and basic art and design elements, then come back at me with something.
