The best bet is to not drink, use the inhaler or the patch (both work well but the inhaler also fills the hand to mouth urge) and possibly take wellbutrin as well. My doctor originally gave me a prescription for both the inhaler and wellbutrin and it worked quite well. The pill however, doesn't seem to work for everyone and some people have bad side effects like being real ansy and jittery. Definitely want to stay away from alcohol as that is when everone smokes the most. The most important part is the person has to really want to quit. If thier mind isn't made up to quit then no ammount of nicotine substitutes are going to MAKE them quit.
