$600 isnt THAT bad considering a pack is around $3.50... and most people smoke a pack a day ... which is about $1200 a year!

i would do the patch or the gum. works with about 75% of people trying to quit.

Does this pertain to Hyper? Did he kick his drinking habit? If memory serves me correctly, he used to drink like an Irishman. The propensity to smoke dramatically increases while consuming alcohol.

ive only heard good things about the shot, but you have to want to quit and not just think that some gum or drug is gonna do all the work

i smoked for about 6 years.. usually a pack a day.. i finally decided i had enough but didnt feel capable of quitting on my own.. so i talked to my doctor and she put me on wellbutron.. which is usually an anti-depressant but really takes away the urge to smoke.. so i started taking that and about 15 days later i completely quit.. havent had a smoke since november of last year.. the best part is that drug has a generic so if you have insurance its really cheap..

The best bet is to not drink, use the inhaler or the patch (both work well but the inhaler also fills the hand to mouth urge) and possibly take wellbutrin as well. My doctor originally gave me a prescription for both the inhaler and wellbutrin and it worked quite well. The pill however, doesn't seem to work for everyone and some people have bad side effects like being real ansy and jittery. Definitely want to stay away from alcohol as that is when everone smokes the most. The most important part is the person has to really want to quit. If thier mind isn't made up to quit then no ammount of nicotine substitutes are going to MAKE them quit.

yea the pill made me anxious.. that was one bad thing.. but after i didnt have the urge to smoke i quit the pill too.. after about 10 days of not having a ciggie the taste/smell completely grosses you out..

and what i did.. i finished my last pack and just never bought another one!!
