    and you are correct, plasma tv's run on a bulb/gas and after so many hours of watching it will eventually burn out and the suck part is that the TV will be trash because you can't replace that. Now LCD's on the other hand are just as good as long as it has HD technology.

    Samsung LCD's can't be beat. Stay with LCD and definitely look at Samsung's line!
