ok, im speaking from the experience of kel-tecs. i own the PF-9 and carry it daily. i also have shot the kel-tec .32,.380, and the 40. they are all great shooting guns for protection, and in comparison are lighter and smaller than many of the other guns available(and you dont pay a higher price.)
if you are wanting a gun to really put a LOT of rounds through at the range, stay away from the kel-tec. that is not what it is made for and will not hold up long term.
i am about to make a purchase of a 40 and have looked at the glock, baretta, taurus and sig. i like the way the glock shoots, but i appreciate the sig and baretta a little more, and a taurus is cheaper.. so i am in some what the same situation you are in deciding between a few different guns
