For the money you'll spend on a good revolver, you should stick to the G27 for many reasons. I sometimes carry a revolver on an ankle holster as back-up. Even with +P, it's not what I would prefer to have if the chips are down. Don't get me wrong, it will get the job done for sure, but I have many other better choices to grab first.

You can pick up a G27 for $500 or less, especially if used. I have a G26 and a G32 and like them both a lot.

    Good luck on your choice.

P.S. I have no clue what the correlation is between "more paperwork" and a .380 as a choice. Please explain because that made zero sense at all.

adventure outdoors has 27s all the time for 400$ used. not shabby. its how i bought mine. Allthough the front night sight on mine is out, whihc i need to replace. different thread
"The 1911 is a collection of subsystems that must work together. Each part must be prepared and fit properly not only in and of itself, but also with regard to the other parts with which it must operate for the gun to function and appear as desired."

Not the same thing, but I just saw a G22 for $325 used on another site. I might pick that one up. On that same site, they regularly have Glocks from NIB to used from that $325 to just shy of $500. Adventure Outdoors does have a ton of inventory at very good prices.
