I had a stubby for a while, no reason to cut though IMO. Mine was 11.5" with a short stroke piston retrofit,larue rails, EOT552, Standard Birdcage,DNTC muzzle break,XS .080 Front post, Magpul CTR skeleton stock, UTG flip up rears... sounds nice, but it didn't group for shit, and it made far too much noise.

What is the degree of accuracy youre getting with the self tapping?

I want a stubby just for fun mainly. I guess the same reason everyone else wants one. Im not kickin in doors for a living or that would be the reason. overall im not too worried about it. The money towards going stubby will be paying for more training instead.
