the only time i "raise my fist" to my dog is when we're playing... he'll growl,bark, whimper, whine, wag his tail.. all of it all at once.. he knows the difference in play time, and "i better stop or i'm in trouble" time....
Nobody should ever hit a dog. It's very counter-productive when it comes to training.
