I got a 15 year old rice cooker at my house that I use. I just rinse it about 4-6 times until the water is relatively clear, then pour in water on the rice until there's about an inch of water on top of it. Then stick it in the rice cooker and push the button. When it dings, it's done. Takes about 15-20mins.

My parents use one of those new fancy rice cookers but it takes longer and the rice comes out too dry IMO.
