I'll take it to the track. I've got no problem beating your SE-R OR a prelude in the twisties. The SE-R is what, 180 hp? and that 6 speed is not a close ratio box, my best friends father has one, my E30 will keep up if not pull away slightly in a straight. My 88 535i with chip, ssk, and exhaust walked numerous SE-R's liek a dog man. And in the twisties - it's over. And the prelude - agian, not even worth my time. It's an automatic for christs sake. It won't last an hour on the track I bet without overheating the tranny fluid.
Guys, I"ll be at the DE at road atlanta in March. So Will DinanM3ATL. Pay your $415 to get in and run the weekend, I'll be in D class along with the rest of you. We'll comapre lap times, and you can watch my taillights thru the S's. If you'd liek to place any bets before the session, we'll deal with that that day at the track. This Vette was a 500+ HP C5 Z06, fully modded suspension, built 373 stroker, the works. WELL over 100k into this car, driven byan Instructor, I just forget his name. Car does 165 mph comming into turn 10a on the back straight at RA. And yes, I can name numerous BMW's that pulled him thru the S's.

Well my motor is basically a stock motor. Just been rebuilt I blew a piston ring.
My intercooler is too small so it was causing detenation. I think my only problem at a track event would be my lack of experience of keeping my motor cool.

Infiniti IMO is GEARED towards a different crowd. For $35000 the G35 is a great deal, look at its interior, handling, power, style, etc. it looks just as good as an M3 IMO for less money.
