But here is a problem with that assumption: GSP doesn't make money off of tickets. They are paid via money set aside for the state by the governer.

They do have to show you the reading? Really? Are you SURE about that? Let me, for the record, state this: YOU ARE WRONG. Why do people come in this site and give people the wrong information? Why? No, there is NO LAW in GA that says he has to show you this. Why not? Well, it is dangerous. Having you get out of your car and walking back to his is a huge liability on a busy interstate. There are other reasons, but you get the idea.

40-14-5.
(a) Each state, county, municipal, or campus law enforcement officer using a radar device shall test the device for accuracy and record and maintain the results of the test at the beginning and end of each duty tour. Each such test shall be made in accordance with the manufacturer´s recommended procedure. Any radar unit not meeting the manufacturer´s minimum accuracy requirements shall be removed from service and thereafter shall not be used by the state, county, municipal, or campus law enforcement agency until it has been serviced, calibrated, and recertified by a technician with the qualifications specified in Code Section 40-14-4.
(b) Each county, municipal, or campus law enforcement officer using a radar device shall notify each person against whom the officer intends to make a case based on the use of the radar device that the person has a right to request the officer to test the radar device for accuracy. The notice shall be given prior to the time a citation and complaint or ticket is issued against the person and, if requested to make a test, the officer shall test the radar device for accuracy. In the event the radar device does not meet the minimum accuracy requirements, the citation and complaint or ticket shall not be issued against the person, and the radar device shall be removed from service and thereafter shall not be used by the county, municipal, or campus law enforcement agency until it has been serviced, calibrated, and recertified by a technician with the qualifications specified in Code Section 40-14-4.

A coworker of mine (who was a cop in the ATL area but quit because of what a bunch of crooks they were) told me straight up they are not required to show you the radar or laser readout in the state of GA. You can subpoena the calibration info of the device used to clock your speed if you take it to trial, but that's it.

i gotta agree with QD and a few others in here...there are alot of corrupt cops and PEOPLE in the world..i mean you will find bad people in every place you go...as far as driviing on a suspended DL, dude i now how you feel i got arrested and all that shit because of getting caught driving on a suspended DL too...long story short..i know it suxz, but try not to whine to everybody to much about it. just do what you gotta do and becareful doing it.. i mean if you are going to drive on a suspended DL, i did but now i know it was/is a very stupid thing to do, try not to draw little or any attention to urself.........but that's just imo anyways.......

If you put more into the system wouldnt you get more out of it? I dont know if the gov. works this way, but i do know that the medical field does.
