i still think that even if you have a shit load of experience in a job it wont help you alot of the time compared to someone who is certified or has a degree in the same area as you...i mean take like retail positions for example. Yeah, you may be in the business for a long ass time, and with the same company for a long ass time, so they might "know" you. but i can almost bet you that if someone applies for the..lets say manager position that you are applying for. and you show back ground of not only being in retail for a long time, but also a degree in a feild that has to do with managorial( if thats a word) purposes, 9 times out of 10 that person is goin to get picked over ther person with just experience cuz all they have to do is conform to their surroundings, they would already know the business throught some of their experience in the work place and then the techincal aspects of it through their degree
