i've rode in dan's car a couple of times and it is very fast, a little to laggy for me, but hey thats just my opinion. I may be about to get flamed, but I think a porsche is in a completely different league than the STi, this coming from a STi owner. If you doubt me, look at the porsche's hertiage, compared to subaru's. No matter how many aftermarket parts we add to our cars, the porsche will still be a better designed car, period.
I wasnt at all trying to make any specific comparisons, Im just using examples. I know what the STI limitations are, and no its not as well designed as a Porsche. That wasnt the point here. But with the right parts, it (and many other cars) can be made to perform as well as a Porsche or an exotic, for much less money overall.

the skyline gtr was not neccessarily modded, but it was the ztune edition. they took 25 skyline r34s and pretty much made them the jtc500 cars. but its common sense that a sti will never be a porsche.

Well, it was not a "stock" R34 as I said. It was the R34 Z-tune edition; hardly a stock R34 in the sense of what was listed.

The value for 'em is under like 5k now ... which should tell you something... They are crazy unreliable, and pull like shit. A NA supra(mk3) will give it a run for the money.

Correction, why the hell did Porsche make the 924 (the cheapest of the poor man's porsche)? The 944 turbo (951) is only a 4 cylinder with just under 217hp (the '88 Turbo S had 250hp though) and unless the Honda was a SOHC turbo then it's gonna have quite a bit more than 220hp with minimal tuning...I've seen that 2.5 liter in the porsche built out the ass though. anyways porsche should stick with good shit and not release any more 'boxters' and cheyennes lol... it degrades the company. Maybe do a ferrari-maserati type of thing...but they're ruining the label.

#2. Porsche is 100% independent. Ferrari is not. They are owned by Fiat. They only make cars to suppliment their racing. They also have a parent company. Porsche does not. Porsche HAS to broaden its product line in order to sell cars. The Boxster and Cayenne SAVED Porsche from going under. I am not sure if you were aware of that or not...

are you sure thats the one they ran at nuburgring? That article looks pretty new. I remember seeing this list including a GTR for quite some time now. I agree it would justify the additional performance over the other ones in the list.
yea, im almost 100% pos that is the one that was ran. Nismo ran it to show off the car WAY before the specs were released and the car released to the owners. i do know for, a fact, that top speed used it in their show, and its the gtr that is on the wall of times. unless i am proven wrong, i stand by the fact that the z tune was used at nureinburnging <<spelling>> as one i saw the video LOL and two, a stock gtr would never pull those times.

i personally like the Cayenne. at least the Cayenne S, its a refreshing take on the dull world of SUVs. and as for the boxter, well i cant hate it too much because the hardtop, something known as a Cayman, KICKS ASS.

The Cayenne Turbo (450hp) or Cayenne Turbo S (520hp) are the only ones to get. The Cayenne and Cayenne S are N/A and thus, "eh" in comparison.
The Cayman S is a great car, but it runs about $10k too much I think...
