Correction, why the hell did Porsche make the 924 (the cheapest of the poor man's porsche)? The 944 turbo (951) is only a 4 cylinder with just under 217hp (the '88 Turbo S had 250hp though) and unless the Honda was a SOHC turbo then it's gonna have quite a bit more than 220hp with minimal tuning...I've seen that 2.5 liter in the porsche built out the ass though. The best is a twin turbo LS1 in a 994 shell

anyways porsche should stick with good shit and not release any more 'boxters' and cheyennes lol... it degrades the company. Maybe do a ferrari-maserati type of thing...but they're ruining the label.

#1. Boxer engine + Roadster = Boxster

#2. Porsche is 100% independent. Ferrari is not. They are owned by Fiat. They only make cars to suppliment their racing. They also have a parent company. Porsche does not. Porsche HAS to broaden its product line in order to sell cars. The Boxster and Cayenne SAVED Porsche from going under. I am not sure if you were aware of that or not...
