I haven't saw many people doing that swap on the SER/Spec V boards (b15.net and the V board). If NE1 is swapping, they are doing the sr20 out the Sentra SE (USDM) or the Bluebird (JDM). Also the PTI turbo is pretty popular right now --> that's getting the guys around 230 wheel. I KILL those guys at the track and on the street though... BIG time, not even close. What side of town you on? We can "take a ride" in my Spec... I will show you (using the AFC) what just a 5% increase in throttle postion feels like on a 250whp N/A beast... at uhhh, we'll say 80mph... or 100mph. And then we can get my boy's classic SEr (boosted jdm sr20, 20psi) and see what a turbo car does at 10% throttle increase
at the MPH of your choice!! I think you would guess DEAD wrong on what your ass-dyno would suspect as the best bang.

Simply stated, I have waxed a LOT of turbo cars... and if the fun wasn't limited to 7800rpms (PISTON SPEED IS THE BIGGEST PROB WITH THE QR25... IT'S INSANE... MAKES FOR TONS-O-TORQUE THOUGH AND A NICE BROAD POWER BAND). By the way, the stock QR25 kills the fun at 6200RPMS... do not let that fool you though, high 14.80s are capable bone stock, not fast NEmore, but def respectable when you are only gonna dyno 153wheel if that (it's all torque in the QR25DE... typical Nissan stuff). Do I have the grunt for a 450WHP IS300 (in the Spec V)... doubt it. Will he earn it though, you bet.

I think even he would be surprised... simply b/c it's a Spec V if for no other reason. I can def tell he's fast... and even that was/is an understatement b/c he backed out of it before he even started having fun. I like your "losing" comment... it's not exactly FUN, but it keeps you hungry... and keeps you humble. If ya won 'em all you'd get bored real quick... well maybe not REAL quick, but eventually. LOL.
