Also the PTI turbo is pretty popular right now --> that's getting the guys around 230 wheel. I KILL those guys at the track and on the street though... BIG time, not even close. What side of town you on? We can "take a ride" in my Spec... I will show you (using the AFC) what just a 5% increase in throttle postion feels like on a 250whp N/A beast... at uhhh, we'll say 80mph... or 100mph. And then we can get my boy's classic SEr (boosted jdm sr20, 20psi) and see what a turbo car does at 10% throttle increase at the MPH of your choice!! I think you would guess DEAD wrong on what your ass-dyno would suspect as the best bang. Simply stated, I have waxed a LOT of turbo cars... and if the fun wasn't limited to 7800rpms (PISTON SPEED IS THE BIGGEST PROB WITH THE QR25... IT'S INSANE... MAKES FOR TONS-O-TORQUE THOUGH AND A NICE BROAD POWER BAND). By the way, the stock QR25 kills the fun at 6200RPMS... do not let that fool you though, high 14.80s are capable bone stock, not fast NEmore, but def respectable when you are only gonna dyno 153wheel if that (it's all torque in the QR25DE... typical Nissan stuff). Do I have the grunt for a 450WHP IS300 (in the Spec V)... doubt it. Will he earn it though, you bet. I think even he would be surprised... simply b/c it's a Spec V if for no other reason. I can def tell he's fast... and even that was/is an understatement b/c he backed out of it before he even started having fun. I like your "losing" comment... it's not exactly FUN, but it keeps you hungry... and keeps you humble. If ya won 'em all you'd get bored real quick... well maybe not REAL quick, but eventually. LOL.
well its a little different for me, when i run. i dont care about losing or winning.. just running the car is special enough for me. thats why i even enjoy losing. yeah i guess it does leave me "hungry". but i've always been the underdog.. and i like hearing compliments. i've surprised a Few with the 350z (friendly runs) and have embarrased a few shit talkers in the STi.

where do you stay anyway, id like to see the sentra, i had no idea you could get that much power out of the QR25.

as far as its stock runs, yeah i know.. i was around the RSX-S/celica GT-S/SE-R rivalry.. good ole days. i own a 01 GT-S as well (my beater lol)

True that. Just rep the ride(s) that you have and you have my respect, win lose or draw. And I just like pushing mine to their limits. Well, if you read the specs on my build you will know that it was WAY more pricey than the Powertech turbo that the guys are getting... that turbo kit is netting 220 - 240 wheel, at $3900. Let's just say that including the work that PFI Speed did w/ the MOTEC and ignition expander, I am sitting @ a few duckies less than 9k into the QR25DE, and I let Jim @ Sunbelt keep my orig QR25. So THAT is what I meant when I say I would not do it again. I literally can NOT sell the car --> (www.seriouscustoms.com/garage) w/out taking a HUGE hit unless the buyer is just driven on the timeslips and likes watching his gas hand in constant motion. WHP being the same and the only difference being boost vs N/A, the N/A motor will own... but the POTENTIAL for max HP will go to the boosted motor (pump gas). 12:5:1 is gonna be JUST about your limits on pump... so w/ repsect to heat/reliability, you will surpass the N/A motor w/ a boosted setup in short time. I am well aware of this, but I am on an N/A binge these days, as I have owned a few boosted rides in the past. I live in Clayton County... you can PM me and we can meet and play a bit of you want. My boy Harry w/ the classic SER (non IA member) can come along. I am free on weekends.

PS: your beater is a damn good ride to boost too... I have seen the kits they have for it on the forums. Plus 8900 RPM fuel cut is a lotta fun.
