It's right at it here in Gainesville. Over 4 for premium. I love our economy.

just noticed it today, Paid 3.79 for 87 in L'ville.

Big spike fast... Anyone else see Conan O'Brien last night where they showed a bunch of clips from news reporters saying the exact same line about gas prices going up? LOL

Nope, want to make a drastic "start over" move though and after researching a bunch of places, oregon seems like the best fit. I'm gonna visit Bend on my vacation this year.

I'd highly recommend spending some time in Portland. Great place with tons of shit to do, great beer, friendly people, just big enough to be a fun city but small enough to avoid the problems of an over crowded place like Atlanta.

I don't ever look at gas prices, gotta have it so keep the stress down and ignore it. Just imagine your tank grew when you look at the receipt.

I have to swipe my card twice whenever I fill up the truck, which some weeks is everyday. So I can't help but look at it. And even then it's not really full, $125 gets me half a tank.

The $100 CC limit most gas station pumps have sucks ass.

Thank goodness for the CVCC and being able to visit petro stations only once about every three weeks. Having a 9 gallon tank is nice, too, on top of that.

I average about $12 per week to drive.

And it's only gonna be worse this summer. I'm betting by mid to late summer, it will be around five dollars per gallon.

We will see, they have been saying that since I started driving.

If so, good, maybe people will start selling their cars for real cheap.

Prices usually spike around April. We might get to $4.50-ish tops, but we are not going to hit $5 (unless you live in NY or California, and if you do you deserve to pay every penny) unless there is some global crisis/war.

Actually a bad economy brings prices down because there is less demand.

I don't understand why people think the US gets to set gas prices. It is a global market, China has at least as big of an impact on gas prices as the US does.

Maybe, and this is a big maybe I know... If we pumped off of the oil reserves we have here, it would be cheaper. Now, this is where it gets really crazy. If the EPA/Feds would allow new refineries to be built, it might reduce the price further. ~GASP~ Alas, now by the time a refinery is built it will be too late to matter.

Now I work in the petroleum industry, so obviously all I want is to pollute the air and water to make a buck...

This country is so far beyond screwed you guys have no idea yet. But you will. Not Doomsday Prepper screwed, but not far from it either. We will see another Great Depression during our lifetime.

The news said that it won't happen and Obama also said so. So the only way it will happen is if Obama is un-presidantized. Which won't happen. Ever.

    Ever.
