<~ im building a show truck, i could put a 350 crate motor in it, bump it up to 400+ hp, but why? so i can go fast and get in trouble, get bad gas milage, or only use it at the strip???

i would rather driveit around with less than 100hp, enjoy driving it, and get stares whereever i go!

that is what the fucking joke is here... the car scene isn't new... my dad, probably yours and other were in it before us w/ big muscle cars... but you won't see old school, stock car guy talking about someone w/ the same ride w/ custom flames down the car or the guy w/ the same ugly car that is a drag car - why? b/c they have respect for their scene and for what they do.

there is a destinct difference in driving down buford hwy and seeing some white trash or mexican in a geo metro w/ a giant apc sticker or seeing a show car w/ the calibur of alot of the cars that are on here. i know guys on here that have spent 10+k in their show car... thats enough to buy and build some of the fast cars on here - so what is the point?

Being a show car is more expensive then being aperformance based car, only because a show has to make alot of exterior, interior, suspension and some engine mods to be a real cotender, where as with performance buy a turbo set up and yoru good and upgrade your suspension....i guess its just the personality you have, guess the show car guys are flashy people and teh performance arent.

I have been on both sides of it, I have had a semi show car.. and I have had a semi quick car, for me personally I tend to enjoy the faster over the prettier.. I have helped create some of the most recognizes (both respeceted and laughed at im sure) cars that are(were) out there.. several of which have been posted in this thread. I kinda have a mix of what makes me happy, I cant say that im like some people and I want a fast car that is ugly, I can't say I want a show car either.. what im trying to build is somewhere in between, a mixture of the two if you will.. and when it is done noone will like it because it isnt a "show" car and it isnt a "race" car... but I will be happy so fuck the hatters.
