performance doesn't only happen in the engine bay... most people on both sides of that argument have shops do most of their work so it's more a moot point than anything.
and i agree on the second part, but people will always voice their views on the interweb so there's no sense in letting it get to you. not everyone likes the same stuff and some people are more prone to voicing it instead of letting it be.
