Simplicity, function, & clean w/ clean lines & good taste (if you like the "conservative" clean line look that is)...doesn't necessarily mean all j-spec (for you nissan peoples) or JDM parts. It's pretty much a look that won't ever get old...it may be a stock looking AE86 or a Honda with little or no body changes, suspension work, "race" style wheels...etc. Normally using quality parts that have a function and more attention to speed and handling than looks. Even if "JDM" style cars all look the same, same stuff, same mods, etc...it may be boring to some but a nice clean car doesn't seem to get old to alot of us...
Kinda off topic but we joke about our kitchen or shop not being JDM when it's all disorganized (is that even a word?) who knows, anyways....my roommates and i are competing for the most JDM bedroom...lol, doesn't necessarily mean bamboo floors and soji screens with a zen garden...but clean conservative with a slight asian influence (which just means less is better). Take a majority of Ikea's setups...so simple yet so hot. Just my
