I get that completely, trust me. We CANNOT rely soley on our public (or private) education systems completely. What I am saying though is that the education system is not going anywhere. We need to constantly improve and monitor the curriculum. Everyone, for the most part, goes through it. We need to improve on it and hope that the student can think over and beyond it. Flaws will be found and challenged by the big thinkers and over achievers.
I agree, but look at how many times in the last few years test requirements, and guidelines have been relaxed to apease one demographic or another. This is hurting us as a country and not helping a single person.
