I totally agree. Most people now days would rather sit around and bitch about how life sucks and they can't do anything about it than get out there and make it happen for themselves.
One thing people don't understand is how good it is in this country. This is pretty much the only country that you can come from nothing and aspire to be something great. If don't believe it go live in another country for a while. Even in another first world country you will find that whatever social class you were born in 90% of the time you will be in your whole life.

I didn't really care for either candidate, but I am kind of happy Obama won. No one has the right to pull the race card anymore. You're not suppressed. You can be anything you want to be (including president), but you have to work for it. No one is going to give it to you, nor do you automatically deserve it. The End! Lets move on now. I don't want to hear what my ancestors did to your ancestors anymore. It wasn't me, and it wasn't you. No one is to blame for your situation but yourself. No one is going to change your life for you, you have to do it. It's a "NEW DAY".
THANK YOU!!!Originally Posted by civic95

What you mean is as long as we are different colors, the race card will always be used. That's bullshit. Everyone has the same opportunity in this country starting today. Males, females, black, white, asian. I don't want to hear it. Seems like some people still want to use it as an excuse when it's convenient.Originally Posted by The Ren
No thats no what I mean... What I mean is as long as people SEE it that way then we will. If people dont get over themselves and fucking realize that the COLOR of someones skin means nothing then we will never get rid of racism.Originally Posted by civic95

Yea it sucks Obama won...I don't necessarily like McCain but he is better than Obama...When people ask me my main reason I tell them I wasn't voting someone with muslim/islam backgrounds into office. This country was founded on christianity and it should stay that way!
No I'm not racist and this is just the way I believe...
