I agree. Completely. And moreso because this man fought real adversity in his lifetime, unlike most young Black ppl of our generation.

However, this is by no means a sign that racism no longer exists.

I totally agree. Most people now days would rather sit around and bitch about how life sucks and they can't do anything about it than get out there and make it happen for themselves.

One thing people don't understand is how good it is in this country. This is pretty much the only country that you can come from nothing and aspire to be something great. If don't believe it go live in another country for a while. Even in another first world country you will find that whatever social class you were born in 90% of the time you will be in your whole life.

What you mean is as long as we are different colors, the race card will always be used. That's bullshit. Everyone has the same opportunity in this country starting today. Males, females, black, white, asian. I don't want to hear it. Seems like some people still want to use it as an excuse when it's convenient.

No thats no what I mean... What I mean is as long as people SEE it that way then we will. If people dont get over themselves and fucking realize that the COLOR of someones skin means nothing then we will never get rid of racism.

Yea it sucks Obama won...I don't necessarily like McCain but he is better than Obama...When people ask me my main reason I tell them I wasn't voting someone with muslim/islam backgrounds into office. This country was founded on christianity and it should stay that way!
